Day 1 - Costa Smeralda and La Maddalena National park

Arrival in Sardinia and visit Costa Smeralda, a famous area which occupies about 50 square km along the north-eastern coast of the island. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon visit La Maddalena island, the major one of the homonymous national park. Panoramic tour of the island by bus. Dinner and overnight in hotel in north coast of Sardinia.

Day 2 - Santa Teresa  and Castelsardo

Start the day by a visit of Santa Teresa Gallura, the most northern town of Sardina, and admire from the distance the beauty of Bonifacio Strait and the white cliff of Corsica. Drive to Castelsardo to see the archaeological and natural monument of the Elephant's rock. Lunch in a restaurant. Visit Castelsardo which is inscribed in the list of the most beautiful villages of Italy. This medieval town is famous for the handmade woven baskets. Proceed to Alghero for dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 3 - Alghero and the Coral Riviera

Departure after breakfast to visit the town of Alghero. Its Catalan origins can still be heard in the local language: the algherese language. Alghero is well-known for the red coral which is used to produce modern and traditional jewels. Lunch on your own in the town centre with many small restaurants, bars and cafés. In the afternoon visit Capocaccia promontory by bus. Otherwise decide for an optional excursion by boat along the Coral riviera and the Neptune's Caves. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Alghero.

Day 4 - Bosa, Nuraghe Losa, Tharros, Carbonia

The first stop is Bosa. It was built along the Temo river and renowned for its tall coloured houses, the doilies and the Malvasia DOC wine. Continue to Abbasanta region to visit nuraghe Losa. Afterwards proceed to Tharros. Lunch on your own and then visit to the ruins of this important town founded by the Phoenicians during the 8th century BC. Drive to Carbonia across the agricultural area and the plain of Campidano. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 5 - S. Antioco, Cagliari

After breakfast visit Sant'Antioco. It is considered one of the oldest towns of Italy and is situated on the homonymous island that is connected to Sardinia by a long bridge. Then proceed to Cagliari along the Costa del sud, an amazing coastal road. Lunch on your own in Cagliari and in the afternoon visit the main town of Sardinia nicknamed "the bright town" and that is rich in history, monuments and shopping possibilities as well. Dinner in a traditional restaurant and overnight in town.

Day 6 - Villasimius, Jerzu, Arbatax

Departure after breakfast along the coastal road to Villasimius. Stop at Simius beach for a swim or for a short walk. Lunch on your own and proceed to Jerzu for wine tasting. Afterwards drive to Tortolì and Arbatax to admire the natural monument called the red rocks - Dinner and overnight in Arbatax.

Day 7 - Mamoiada, Orgosolo

Departure from Arbatax and visit the Madau nuragic giant's tombs, a collective burial area from the Bronze Age made of 4 tombs . Continue to Mamoiada that is famous for the particular carnival masks called Mamuthones and Issohadores. Visit the museum of the Mediterranean masks. Lunch with traditional products by the local shepherds. After lunch stroll across Orgosolo to see the paintings on the wall of the houses created by Francesco Del Casino and other painters. In the afternoon drive to Olbia in time for your departure.
