La Maddalena and Caprera in the National Park

A nice tour full of history and a striking landscape. We reach Palau port to take a ferry that after 20 minutes we’ll dock at La Maddalena island and enjoy the two major islands of the archipelago connected to each other by a bridge. In Caprera island visit to Giuseppe Garibaldi Museum. He was one of important figures who led to the Unification of Italy in 1861.

Tour of La Maddalena island with several photo-stops to admire the rugged coast and places among the most remarkable of Sardinia. During the tour we can enjoy a panoramic view over and the whole archipelago and - weather permitting - Corsica island. Stop in La Maddalena historical centre to see the church and stroll along the little port or among the granite paved streets dotted with shops, cafés and ice-cream sellers before taking the ferry to return to point of departure.

Porto Cervo

We can reach Costa Smeralda – Emerald coast – by driving along a panoramic road dotted with outstanding views of some luxury hotels and villas and facing the Tyrrhenian sea. Enjoy a guided walking tour in Porto Cero with its “Piazzetta”, cafés and boutiques that sell world famous brands. You may also do some shopping or enjoy a drink in a design-café overlooking the old port where elegant modern yachts find a very safe mooring. We may also visit the pretty Stella Maris church with a panoramic view over the new port and the Yachting Club. Along the “Promenade du Port we won’t miss to take a look at some temporary exhibitions on display at MDM museum” and enjoy the evergreen Mediterranean vegetation that is a PLUS for your best photos.

Porto Rotondo

It’s easy to reach Porto Rotondo from Olbia. Our visit will start from the outside part of the theatre designed by Mario Ceroli. Than we’ll continue with a visit to San Lorenzo church that has decorations made with Murano glasses and unusual wooden sculptures with allegorical figures taken from the Bible. Our walking will take us along beautiful granite stairs across St. Marco square and up to the little port. This round port can moor up to 650 boats of different sizes. In Porto Rotondo there are several pieces of art of various artists and one of the latest was made by Emmanuel Chaplain. It’s a long mosaic that leads from the main street down to the port and symbolizes the food web in the sea.

Archaeology

Discover the silent evidences of the most fascinating Sardinian civilization: the nuragic one that dates back to the second millennium B.C. This excursion will take us towards Arzachena to reach Prijona Nuraghe, one of the most important megalithic sites of this area regarding this old civilization and after a 10 minutes walk we’ll also visit a giants’ tomb of the same period. Stop in St Pantaleo : a little contemporary village built with traditional granite houses that during summer turns into an exclusive meeting point for national and international artists. From the main square take a look at the little church and enjoy a terrific glance at the bizarre natural shapes in the granite mountains protecting the village. Way back to Olbia

Jeep Tour

Choose a jeep tour to discover more of the inland part of Gallura. You will be able to see the most hidden parts of Costa Smeralda et some archaeological evidences like a Giant’s tomb dating back to nuragic time. Continue along a panoramic road and across the countryside to appreciate the beauty and variety of the Mediterranean vegetation : wild olive trees, junipers, strawberry trees, mastic bushes and the thousand-years-old olive trees. The itinerary will pass also through a landscape with granite rocks sculpted by the wind and the millions of years. Tasting of local products ( sausage, cheese, local typical bread and wine).
